RSCTC'2008 has negotiated a special conference rate for a block of rooms with the Quaker Square Inn at The University of Akron effective until September 22, 2008.

The Quaker Square Inn is about 5 - 10 minutes walk to the conference venue.

(October 2, 2008) URGENT NOTE: Since the contract rate has expired and there are no more standard rooms ($109) available, the manager has made some exceutive rooms ($139) available for our conference. There will be several events in Akron, so please try to make reservations as soon as possible.

(October 2, 2008) URGENT NOTE: The conference contract rate has expired. We have just received the following message from the hotel.

"The Radisson Hotel Akron City Centre name is being changed to The Akron City Centre Hotel effective today.  Any reservations will have to be made by calling the hotel at 330-384-1500.  Online reservations will not be available. The hotel is negotiating with two different hotel brands, and an agreement is not expected until another two months. The hotel will continue to operate as normal until another brand relationship is formed."

• We have contacted the manager of the hotel. The RSCTC 2008 rate will still be honored, however, please try to make reservations as soon as possible.
